What is AI SEO, and how is it different from normal SEO?
Normal SEO gets your pages ranked in a list of links on Google. AI SEO gets your business named and cited when ChatGPT, Claude, Perplexity, Gemini or Grok write the answer instead of showing a list. Some people call it generative engine optimization, or GEO. The two need different things: a page can rank first on Google and still be useless to an AI assistant, because nothing on it states a clear answer. SearchLift measures and fixes both.
What is AI visibility?
AI visibility is how often, and how well, AI assistants name your business when a buyer asks them a question in your category. SearchLift measures it per assistant and per question: named or not, the position you held, who was named instead, and which sources the answer used. It is the AI equivalent of a rank tracker, for answers instead of links.
What is ChatGPT SEO?
ChatGPT SEO is the work of getting your business named and recommended in ChatGPT answers. ChatGPT searches the web before it answers a buying question, so it comes down to three things: whether its crawler can reach your pages, whether those pages state clear facts, and whether the pages ChatGPT already trusts mention you. SearchLift tracks the answers, finds what is missing on your pages and fixes it, and does the same for Claude, Perplexity, Gemini and Grok.
How does SearchLift know what ChatGPT says about my business?
You tell it the questions your buyers ask. SearchLift puts those questions to ChatGPT, Claude, Perplexity, Gemini and Grok with web search on, which is how the real apps answer, then records whether you were named, what position you held, which sources each one used, and what it said about you.
Do I need to be technical?
No. Connected platforms install in one click, the audit is written in plain language, and a fix is a button. If someone else looks after your site, export the work order and hand them a page-by-page list with the exact before and after values.
What if I get stuck?

Is it safe to let it change my site?
Every change keeps the old value first, so undo is one click. Autopilot only runs inside limits you set, and it is capped so it can never spend your whole monthly allowance before you have used any of it.
Which platforms does it work with?
WordPress, Shopify, Webflow, Wix, Ghost and HubSpot connect through their own APIs or app stores and take the fixes directly. Notion is a publishing destination for articles. Next.js and headless sites get a signed webhook. Any other website connects by URL: you get the full AI SEO audit, AI visibility tracking, the Search Console suite and article drafts, and fixes arrive as exact instructions instead of automatic changes.
Will I be able to tell whether it worked?
Yes. Visits that come from AI assistants are counted on their own, and each fix is measured on how often you were cited for the 14 days before against the 14 days after. You see the change, marked with the date the fix went live.
What does the free plan actually include?
