What stays manual
The tracking snippet, pasted once into your theme or tag manager, and any SEO field your plugin does not open to the REST API, which arrives as a suggestion. Yoast does not accept outside writes, so on a Yoast site titles and descriptions stay suggestions unless you switch to Rank Math or SEOPress.

Which SEO plugins are supported for writes?
Rank Math, SEOPress and Jetpack SEO expose their title and description fields to the REST API, so SearchLift writes them directly. Yoast keeps its fields closed, so a Yoast site gets suggestions instead of writes. Every write is verified against the live page before it is recorded as applied.
Do I need a plugin from SearchLift?
No. The connection is WordPress’s own REST API, authorized with an Application Password on self-hosted sites or a WordPress.com sign-in. Nothing is installed on your site.
Is an Application Password safe?
It is WordPress’s own mechanism for API access, revocable from your profile at any time, and it is stored encrypted. It is not your login password.
WordPress.com or self-hosted?
Both. Self-hosted sites and WordPress.com Business plans connect with an Application Password. Every other WordPress.com plan, Free included, connects by signing in with WordPress.com; on plans without SEO tools, titles and descriptions stay as suggestions while article publishing works straight away.
