AI SEO for Next.js and headless sites, by signed webhook

A headless site has no CMS API to write to, so SearchLift does the one thing that fits a developer’s stack: it sends every approved change to your endpoint as a signed payload, and your build decides how to apply it. The audit and AI visibility tracking work from the public site alone.

What it does on Next.js and custom sites

  • Audits the public pages from the live site, with products discovered from the sitemap
  • Delivers approved fixes and articles as signed outbound webhooks
  • Includes robots.txt changes in the same delivery
  • Tracks buyer questions across all five assistants
  • Connects Google Search Console for query and index data
  • Exports a developer work order as an alternative to the webhook

How it connects

Enter your site URL. Add a POST endpoint to your app and SearchLift generates a signing secret, shown once; every approved change is then delivered to that endpoint as a signed payload. Leave the endpoint blank and you keep audits, monitoring and reports with no write-back.

What stays manual

Applying the payload is your code’s job; the write is marked live once your endpoint answers with a 2xx. The tracking snippet is added to your layout once.

Questions

Next.js and custom sites specifics.

Everything else, including ChatGPT SEO and AI visibility tracking, is the same on every connector.

What is in the webhook?

The target URL, the field being changed, the current value SearchLift observed, the new value, and an HMAC-SHA256 signature over the timestamp and body using your signing secret. Articles arrive as structured HTML with their metadata. The developer guide in the console includes a complete Next.js handler.

Which frameworks?

Any. Next.js, Astro, Nuxt, Hugo, Eleventy, or a hand-written site. If it serves public HTML over HTTPS and you can receive a POST, it connects.
